The phrase high risk, high reward defines the pieces in this section. There may not be a more important category for an artist than my experimental work. Every artist needs room to play, and this is where that happens for me. Here, I often use techniques, media, or subject matter that are new for me. In order to develop, I have to continue to go down unfamiliar paths. Mistakes, successes, fun, and failure may all exist here, but these pieces will eventually feed the techniques that continue to be perfected into my evolving style. The finished works that you see here are example of when I rolled the dice and, in my opinion, won.
